What are the major mistakes students do in their 1st year BTech? How do I avoid those and what are the best things to do?

After completing our 12th class we all will be excited for our colleges.
Some will get-
  • IIT
  • NIT
  • IIIT
  • GFTIs
  • Other government and private colleges
Till 12th we only know theory but not that much practical.
So many will again go deep into theory.
But in college we are taught-
  • How to speak to client i.e You should also develop good speaking skills.
  • How to do team work i.e how work is divided and done in big companies.
  • You should be self responsible i.e Take responsibilities yourself.
  • Discover your own ideas for your projects.
  • And don’t think that if you have not done well in 12th and competitive exams so you can not do well in future.
Theory is also important but not that much.
Now you are going to become engineer and have to do work in industries so be practical.
  • Don’t be distracted by distractions.
  • Don’t come into other peoples talk i.e many will say do this do that.
  • All have different views and opinions.
  • Do what you love.
  • What you are passionate about.
  • Don’t tell people about your dreams, SHOW THEM.

I hope this will help.
Feel free to ask any dout.
